Integrated Risk Management Training

On January 14, 2025, regarding Credit Risk, Liquidity and Market Risk, IT Risk, and Operational Risk, the relevant Risk Managers from the Integrated Risk Department provided training to new joiners, including Operation In-Charges and Relationship Managers, at Myanmar Citizens Bank Head Office.
The objectives of the Integrated Risk Department’s training are as follows:
1. Credit Risk: To classify and assess credit risk, and to ensure that all stakeholders involved in the loan processes, from branch staff to Senior Management, understand the mitigation concepts, policies, and procedures.
2. Liquidity & Market Risk: To enhance knowledge of liquidity and market risk and to emphasize the importance of effective risk management.
3. Operational Risk: To ensure understanding of compliance procedures in daily banking operations, including checklists to be followed and incident reporting protocols for any abnormal occurrences.
4. IT Risk: To raise awareness among staff about cybersecurity and technological risks and to ensure appropriate preventive measures are taken.
This training aims to foster a strong risk culture within the Department and Branches, to enhance staff awareness of potential risks, to mitigate future risks, and to implement the bank’s procedures effectively. It also equips participants with the skills to perform their operational tasks efficiently and to identify and prevent potential risks in their respective Departments and Branches.
