Business Development Manager (Corporate Banking)
Duties & Responsibilities
- The incumbent will also be responsible for the portfolio of government relationship sectors.
- Be in charge of implementing the relationship strategy plan and marketing and selling business loans, tender
loans, and Bank Guarantee products to corporate and enterprise clients for market gain and target-and
objective attainment.
- Induce potential clients and maintain existing ones in banking relationships.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for other non-credit products, i.e., deposits, cards, etc.
- Ensure compliance with the bank’s internal policies, governing regulations, and risk management policies while
managing a client portfolio.
- Build and sustain a good relationship with key stakeholders within government agencies and corporate clients.
- Market research and competitor analysis to distill major opportunities for recommending strategic
improvement.
Requirements
- Any degree or qualification in Sales & Marketing or any related fields will suffice.
- We are conversant with the government tendering industry.
- Negotiation-savvy and possess effective communication skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a sound attitude toward problem-solving.
- Solidly proven experience in a Business-to-Government or Business-to-Business Sales Manager/Assistant Manager role (Sales or front-line relationship type experience).
