Sr. Application Developer

Job Description

• Develop, test, and deploy enhancements, interfaces, and customizations within the core banking environment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code based on business requirements.
• Lead/Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and IT infrastructure teams.
• Support API-based integrations between the core banking system, API Gateway and third-party platforms.
• Apply strong understanding of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, API keys, etc.)
• Maintain documentation, lifecycle management, and versioning of APIs
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues related to application logic, data inconsistencies, or performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain and monitor job schedules, logs, and data processing batches

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in application development, support, or integration
• Strong grasp of fundamental programming concepts (data structures, control flow, functions, etc.)
• Proficient in any programming language or development platform (e.g., Java, Python, T24 InfoBasic, PL/SQL, etc.)
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix or other operating systems (basic scripting, navigation, and troubleshooting)
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ability to write/read SQL queries
• Awareness of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML structures, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
• Ability to read and interpret technical and functional documentation
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving and debugging skills
