Compliance Officer (AML/CFT)

Job Descriptions

  • Understanding relevant CBM laws, Anti- Money Laundering Laws and regulations.
  • Have core banking and AML system knowledge.
  • Monitor, validate, and submit daily Threshold Transaction Reports (TTR) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) via the FIU online reporting system.
  • Analyze customer profiles, risk ratings, and behavioral transaction patterns to identify anomalies and escalate potential STR cases to supervisors.
  • Evaluate Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (ECDD) processes to identify procedural gaps, ensure proper ongoing monitoring, and enforce high-risk client reviews.
  • Draft and issue compliance memos, directives, and formal instructions to branches; communicate audit findings, track corrective action plans (CAP), and report closure statuses to management.
  • Participate in the annual Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) to define annual compliance review scopes and internal audit schedules.
  • Develop and deliver AML/CFT presentation materials and awareness sessions for internal stakeholders and branch networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience/ Bachelor in Law
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in compliance, legal or other control-related functions in the financial services firm or regulatory organization.
  • In-depth working knowledge of CBM directives, national Anti-Money Laundering/CFT laws, and FIU reporting frameworks.
  • Proven track record in AML/CFT compliance within the banking sector.
  • Hands-on experience operating core banking platforms and automated AML monitoring/screening software.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and business-writing skills.
